I got it signed when I was in the 75th Ranger regiment 48 hours after his capture. Upon his capture I was given 48 hours to be in Iraq to releive other personell from the Ranger Battalions so that they could go on missions with their squads. (I was Headquarters 75th Ranger Regiment.) I was a Special Operations Combat Medic and was responsible for his health and welfare working directly under a Physician. I would sit in a room with him on hour shifts rotating out with other Ranger Medics. With me watching him were officers, mainly flight guys, who were responsible for taking notes on his daily activities from when he prayed to what he ate.
